INTRODUCTION CLASS 

The E-Ville Snowmobile  Club will hold an introduction class to GPS and Geocaching on an as needed basis. 

GPS ( Global Positioning System )

The GPS is a satellite-based navigation system mad up of 24 satellites placed in orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense.

GEOCACHING

GEOCACHING is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices.

GEOCACHING is fun sport enjoyed by all ages. You will be surprised how many caches are hidden throughout the Moosehead Trail 100 Mile Wilderness Area. The many local Geocachers have hidden caches in Elliottsville, Willimantic, Monson, Greenville, Abbott, Blanchard, Sangerville, Guilford and Dover-Foxcroft. 

The first class was held on February  19, 2008 with many participants.

After the training the participants went searching for the hidden treasures.
